EXCERPT:
Now things are finally getting good, Sammy thought. “So, how do we blast off with RIP?” Burgy asked.
“Simply stated, I input a time and place of your choice into the computer, press enter, and RIP takes over. Bim, bam, boom, and you're there.”
“When can we go, Doc?” Sammy asked.
“Sometime next week?” Burgy asked.
Doc pulled a gold watch from his pocket and pressed a button so that the cover popped open. “Three-thirty now. I'm more inclined to set takeoff at, say, 6:30?”
“Tonight?” Burgy asked.
“All right,” Ollie said.
Sammy gulped.
Note* RIP stands for REALITY IN PAST, a past so real that it seems like the present.
